Career coaching for people who feel stuck in their work, their direction, or both
If your job doesn't fit anymore, you've lost your sense of direction, or you keep circling the same career decision without landing on an answer, that's what this is for.
This isn't CV writing or interview prep. It's the deeper work that comes before any of that makes sense, working out what's actually wrong, what you want instead, and what you're prepared to do about it.
This may be you if:
-
You're capable and getting things done, but you've lost any real sense of career direction
-
You've been circling the same career decision for months without making it
-
Sunday evening brings a knot in your stomach you can't quite explain, and it's connected to work
-
You know the role, the workplace, or the whole direction no longer fits, but you're not sure what to do about it
-
You've tried the practical stuff, courses, networking, job boards, and you're still stuck
What it is not:
This isn't CV writing, interview preparation, or recruitment consultancy. If that's specifically what you need, there are services built for that, and I'll tell you honestly if that's a better fit than coaching. What this is: working out whether the problem is the role, the workplace, the direction, or something else entirely, and building a realistic plan once you know.
Why this, why me

I work as an Individual Placement and Support Employment Specialist within an HSE Primary Care Centre, where I support people navigating career decisions, workplace challenges, and the practical realities of finding work that fits. Alongside that, I hold a BA Hons in Psychology, two coaching diplomas from an ICF-accredited training provider, and I'm currently completing an MSc in Work and Organisational Psychology at Dublin City University. That combination, psychology, coaching training, and real experience supporting career decisions, shapes how I work. Progress Life Coach is an independent private coaching practice and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the HSE or Christopher's employer.
How it works
-
Book a free call. Thirty minutes, no pressure, just an honest conversation about where you are.
-
Work out what's actually keeping you stuck. Is it the role, the workplace, the direction, or something else? We get past the surface version of the problem.
-
Choose the right format and begin. Single session, or the full eight-week programme, whatever fits what you're working through.
Sessions and pricing
There's no single fixed path here, what makes sense depends on where you are. Some people just need a free conversation to figure out whether coaching is the right fit at all.
Others have one specific decision or situation to work through and want a single focused session. And some know something bigger needs to change but haven't been able to get traction alone, that's what the eight-week programme is built for.
Every engagement starts the same way, with a free 30-minute discovery call, so there's no pressure to know which option is right before we've even spoken.

Common questions
Can coaching help if I don't know what career I want, only that this one isn't it?
Yes, that's one of the most common starting points. You don't need a clear alternative before we start.
Will you tell me what career to choose?
No. I'll help you get clear on what you actually want and what's realistic, but the decision is always yours.
Do you help with CVs or interview prep?
Not directly, that's a different kind of support. If that's genuinely what you need, I'll point you toward it honestly.
How is this different from career guidance or a recruiter?
Career guidance and recruiters focus on the practical job search. This is the work that usually needs to happen first, understanding what's actually wrong and what you want instead.
